FAQ

Everything you need to know about Steam key distribution, social publishing, and the Gamosy platform

General

What is Gamosy?

Gamosy is an all-in-one marketing and publishing platform for indie developers, studios and publishers. It brings social publishing on 19 platforms, media monitoring across 7 sources, Steam key distribution to verified creators, a creator CRM with built-in messaging, link in bio pages and live Steam analytics into 1 dashboard - publisher-grade tools without the publisher.

Is Gamosy free?

The core platform is free: Steam key distribution to verified creators, creator contacts (CRM) with built-in messaging, link in bio pages, live Steam analytics, and competitor tracking. Creator accounts are always free. Every team also gets 3 free media monitoring phrases with sentiment and spike alerts. Social publishing comes with Gamosy PRO, our paid plan. Every new studio gets 60 days of Gamosy PRO free - no card required. After that it costs $49 per month for each game you market, or $490 per year (2 months free).

How does the 60 day free period work?

Every new studio gets 60 days of Gamosy PRO free - no card required. The free period starts automatically when your team account is created. For 60 days you get full access to Gamosy PRO: Smart post generation from your Steam data, scheduling, automations, publishing to every connected platform, and full media monitoring. When it ends, nothing is deleted: your drafts, connections, and history stay in place, and publishing resumes as soon as you license a game from your billing page.

What does "per game" pricing mean?

1 license covers 1 Steam game: every social platform, every scheduled post, every automation, full media monitoring, and your whole team, for $49 per month or $490 per year. You license only the games you actively market. Add a game any time and you pay only for the rest of the current period; release one any time and it stays active until the period you already paid for ends.

How long does it take to get started?

Under 5 minutes. Sign up, connect your YouTube, Twitch, or TikTok channel - or your Steam developer account - and you're ready to browse or launch campaigns.

Can I connect multiple platform accounts?

Each YouTube channel, Twitch account, TikTok account, and Steam account can only be connected to 1 Gamosy account. This prevents abuse and ensures every creator profile represents a real, unique channel.

KeyVault

What is KeyVault?

KeyVault is our Steam key distribution module. Developers create campaigns with specific audience requirements (subscriber count, average views, genre). Creators browse and apply to campaigns that match their channel. Approved creators receive keys instantly - and developers track the full lifecycle from key sent to video published.

How do I upload Steam keys?

In KeyVault, go to your campaign and use the bulk key upload feature. Paste your keys (1 per line) or upload a text file. Gamosy validates the format and prevents duplicates. Keys are protected by row-level security and only revealed to approved creators.

Do keys I send through KeyVault affect my Steam review score?

No - Steam excludes reviews from key-activated copies from the review score. Creator campaigns are for coverage, wishlists, and community. The reviews that count come from players who buy on Steam.

What is a Campaign Completion Rate (CCR)?

CCR shows how often a creator follows through - key received, content published. Developers see it on every application, next to the Trust Score. A higher CCR unlocks better campaigns and faster approvals.

How does creator verification work?

When creators connect their YouTube, Twitch, or TikTok account via OAuth, Gamosy verifies their subscriber count, average views, and content history directly from each platform's API. This gives developers real, up-to-date analytics - no self-reported numbers.

What happens if a creator doesn't publish content after receiving a key?

The creator's CCR drops, and developers reviewing future applications see it. Developers can set content deadlines per campaign and track submission status in real time. Gamosy is designed to reward creators who follow through.

Media Monitoring

What is Media Monitoring?

Media Monitoring watches the internet for mentions of your game or studio. It scans Steam reviews, Twitch streams and clips, Reddit, YouTube, Bluesky, Threads, and Hacker News several times a day, classifies each mention as positive, negative, or neutral, and alerts you when mention volume spikes or negative Steam reviews pile up.

Which phrases can I track?

Anything: your game title, studio name, a genre term, or a competitor. Developer teams attach phrases to their games (each licensed game under Gamosy PRO gets full monitoring), and every team also gets 3 free phrases that are not tied to a game - creators use these for their own brand.

Does Media Monitoring post anything on my behalf?

No. Media Monitoring is read-only: it collects publicly available posts, reviews, streams, and comments that match your phrases. Publishing to social platforms lives in the Publisher module, which is separate and only posts when you tell it to.

Security & Privacy

How does Gamosy protect my Steam keys?

Steam keys are stored behind row-level security policies - only the campaign owner and approved creators can access them. Keys are never exposed in bulk and cannot be scraped. Access is restricted at the database level, so even API misuse cannot bypass protections.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Gamosy uses row-level security policies to isolate data between accounts. OAuth tokens are encrypted via Supabase Vault before storage. We comply with GDPR and do not sell your data.
