Wishlist Tracking

Track Steam wishlist trends and correlate them with your campaign activity.

Wishlist tracking helps you see whether your creator campaigns are driving Steam wishlist growth. Since Steam doesn't provide wishlist data via API, Gamosy lets you manually log data from your Steamworks dashboard.

Why Manual Entry?

The Steamworks Partner API does not expose wishlist data. Wishlist counts are only available through the Steamworks dashboard web interface. Gamosy provides a simple form to log this data so you can track trends over time and correlate them with your campaigns.

Entering Wishlist Data

  1. Navigate to your game detail page (click on a game in your Games library)
  2. Click the Impact tab
  3. Find the Wishlist Tracking section
  4. Fill in the form:
    • Date — The date this data is from
    • Wishlist Count — Total wishlist count on that date
    • Additions (optional) — New wishlists added that day
    • Deletions (optional) — Wishlists removed that day
  5. Click Save

You can enter data for any date — past or present. We recommend entering data at least weekly for meaningful trend analysis.

Where to Find Data in Steamworks

  1. Go to partner.steamgames.com
  2. Navigate to your game's App Admin page
  3. Click Marketing & VisibilityWishlists
  4. You'll see daily wishlist additions, deletions, and totals

Wishlist Timeline Chart

The timeline chart visualizes your wishlist data over time, showing:

  • Wishlist count as the primary line
  • Additions and deletions if you've entered that data

This gives you a visual picture of wishlist momentum — is it growing, plateauing, or declining?

Correlating with Campaigns

The real power of wishlist tracking is seeing how your campaigns affect wishlists. Look for patterns like:

  • Spike after content approval — If a creator's video goes live and wishlists jump the next day, that creator drove real results
  • Steady growth during active campaigns — Consistent wishlist additions while campaigns are running suggest sustained impact
  • Flat periods — Times when no campaigns are active, showing baseline organic growth

Editing and Deleting Entries

You can edit or delete any wishlist entry by finding it in the list below the chart. Click the entry to modify the values or remove it entirely.

Tips

  • Enter data consistently — Weekly entries give the best trend visibility
  • Log data around campaign milestones — Enter data before, during, and after key campaign events
  • Compare with impact metrics — Cross-reference wishlist growth with your campaign impact numbers
