Discord Integration
Forward Gamosy messages to your Discord server and reply without leaving Discord.
If your team communicates on Discord, you can forward Gamosy messages directly to a Discord channel. This keeps your team in the loop without requiring everyone to log into Gamosy.
Overview
The Discord integration works through webhooks. When a new message arrives in a Gamosy conversation, it's automatically forwarded to your configured Discord channel as a rich embed. You can reply from Discord or click through to Gamosy.
Setting Up the Integration
Step 1: Create a Discord Webhook
- Open your Discord server settings
- Navigate to Integrations and then Webhooks
- Click New Webhook
- Name it (e.g., "Gamosy Messages") and select the target channel
- Copy the webhook URL
Step 2: Configure in Gamosy
- Navigate to Settings in the sidebar
- Open the Channel Connections section
- Paste your Discord webhook URL
- Click Save
Step 3: Test the Connection
Click the Test Webhook button to send a sample message to your Discord channel. If it appears, the integration is working correctly.
How Outbound Forwarding Works
When someone sends you a message on Gamosy:
- The message arrives in your Gamosy inbox as usual
- A copy is forwarded to your Discord channel as an embed
- The embed includes the sender's name, message content, and campaign context
- A Reply on Gamosy button links directly to the conversation
Your team can see incoming messages in real time without leaving Discord.
Replying to Messages
From the Button
Click the Reply on Gamosy button on any forwarded message. This opens the conversation in your browser where you can compose and send your reply.
Using the Slash Command (Advanced)
If your server has the Gamosy bot installed, you can use the /gamosy reply slash command to send a reply directly from Discord:
- Type
/gamosy replyin the channel - Enter the conversation ID (shown in the embed footer)
- Type your message
- Press Enter to send
The reply appears in the Gamosy conversation as if you'd sent it from the web app.
Enabling and Disabling
You can toggle the Discord integration on and off at any time:
- Navigate to Settings and then Channel Connections
- Use the Enable/Disable toggle next to your webhook
- Changes take effect immediately
When disabled, messages stop forwarding to Discord but your webhook configuration is preserved. Re-enable it at any time without re-entering the URL.
